Petition to Senate Majority Leader John Thune, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, my U.S. Senators, and my U.S. Representative

WHEREAS: Anti-gun Democrats will take control of both chambers of Congress on January 3, 2027, and any pro-gun judicial nominee not confirmed by then will be returned to the President; and

WHEREAS: Under the so-called "Bipartisan Safer Communities Act," taxpayers have been forced to bankroll $750 million in "Red Flag" Gun Confiscation grants, and the Department of Justice is still handing that money out; and

WHEREAS: Congress zeroed out the $200 tax on suppressors, short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and "any other weapons," but left the National Firearms Act on the books, where an anti-gun Congress can bring back the tax and the registration that comes with it; and

WHEREAS: The ATF's National Tracing Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia is holding more than 1.4 billion gun records, including more than 912 million digitized Form 4473s, even though federal law bars a national gun registry; and

WHEREAS: Barack Obama sent the UN Arms Trade Treaty to the U.S. Senate in 2016, it has never been sent back, the State Department made a $100,648 ‘contribution payment’ toward it in 2024, and as long as it sits in the Senate, any future President can ask for a vote to ratify it; and

WHEREAS: Republicans control the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate until January 3, with only a few short weeks left to act;

THEREFORE: As a proud American and Second Amendment supporter, I urge you to use every day you have left before January 3 to confirm every pro-gun judicial nominee, defund the "Red Flag" Gun Confiscation grants, fully repeal the National Firearms Act, shut down and destroy the ATF's gun registry in Martinsburg, West Virginia, and formally send the UN Arms Trade Treaty back to the President and cut off every tax dollar going to it.
